A huge Star Wars fan myself, I have to give a standing O to Jennifer and Jeff Hays for pulling off such a creative birth announcement. Capturing the classic “last-second heroics” from the movie, you can’t help but chuckle at the message (since they were about to give up on the idea of having children) and appreciate the right-on-point creativity. It seems that the force was with them this time around. After years of trying to conceive, they finally outsmarted the evil forces of nature and age.

With this kind of announcement, you just have to have a positively celestial celebration when the baby arrives. Although Luke and Leia won’t be in attendance (except maybe digitized on the big screen), all of your best “warriors” who have been cheering you on from the beginning will be. Create your own “galaxy” with star-themed decorations and ask guests to either bring baby gifts for twins or ones inspired by the heavens, like our starry “Baby Dear” blanket gift set or the ladybug twilight celestial nightlight, which will have your baby seeing stars every night! While you’re at it, go ahead and make the nursery a Star Wars theme, like Robin and Mark did for their son Miles. How fun!
